  • A New Normal by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-07-18

A New Normal by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-07-18

    21/07/2020 Duração: 30min

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the whole world and changed many ways in which things are done. Our lifestyles and norms have all been disrupted. Eventually, this pandemic will pass, but when it does, do we expect things to go back to the same as before? More likely than not, there will be changes that will become permanent. In the same manner, church has to change as well. While there will be changes in our methodology, the greatest change that God wants to effect in us isn’t about methods. He wants to refocus us on the things that go much deeper – on things that are truly important.

  • The Crucified Life by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-07-11

The Crucified Life by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-07-11

    11/07/2020 Duração: 35min

A preacher once described religion as hanging around the Cross, but Christianity is getting on it. The Cross is the centrality of all we’re called to as believers. Without it, we’ve nothing except what Timothy calls "a form of godliness without the power" (2 Tim 3:5). Just as our Saviour and Lord embraced the Cross for us, He calls us to take up our Cross and follow Him. Our crucified Lord will have nothing short of a crucified bride.

  • Lessons from the Animal Kingdom by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-07-04

Lessons from the Animal Kingdom by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-07-04

    07/07/2020 Duração: 37min

Oftentimes in Scriptures, God would identify people with certain animals. Judah was called a lion, Benjamin was referred to as a wolf, and King Herod was branded by Jesus Himself as a fox. He does so to reveal something of their nature and even ours. There are human traits in each animal, some of which are complimentary and others, uncomplimentary. By understanding which animal best describes you, you’ll know what you’re like, and in knowing, ask God to change you.

  • The Repairer of the Breach by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-06-27

The Repairer of the Breach by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-06-27

About a year ago, Channel News Asia produced an interesting video hosted by Member of Parliament, Dr. Janil Puthucheary, entitled: ‘How Kids See Class Difference’. According to CNA, the most divisive issue in Singapore is the income disparity, more than the religious or racial divide. It was a troubling video because it exposed a real divide in our society. I sent it to my leadership team to weigh in on the matter and, wow did it evoke some powerful responses! Some of them began sharing their struggles with their kids and struggles they had growing up in neighbourhood schools. So I felt it’d be good to talk about this subject and offer some practical solutions to the church.

  • Fatherhood by Dian Botha - 2020-06-20

Fatherhood by Dian Botha - 2020-06-20

    20/06/2020 Duração: 36min

The word ‘Father’ conjures up many thoughts and feelings in all of us – some good and some not. ‘Daddy’ is the deep cry of every child for safety and significance. God is our Father and He wants to draw us close to Him to first make us feel safe and then go and be significant. This father-child relationship is the bedrock of Christianity.

  • Turning a Mistake Around by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-06-13

Turning a Mistake Around by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-06-13

    16/06/2020 Duração: 30min

Some of the most amazing occurrences in the Bible were only possible because of the mistakes that someone had made. The rescue of Rahab and her subsequent role in God’s plan of salvation for all mankind is a case in point. Had Israel not failed to enter the Promised Land some 38 years before, Rahab would not have chanced upon the two spies that Joshua sent. So was the failure of Israel 38 years prior a mistake?

  • Demons Can’t Swim by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-06-06

Demons Can’t Swim by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-06-06

    06/06/2020 Duração: 39min

When Jesus walked on the earth, His ministry included preaching, teaching, healing the sick, and casting out demons. We see the first three ministries featured prominently in the Church today, but we’ve somehow relegated the ministry of deliverance to a handful of specialists. But that’s not what my Bible instructs. My Bible tells me that one of the signs Jesus said would accompany those who believe in Him is, they will cast out demons. I’m convinced we must all be trained in the ministry of deliverance, because there’s a coming spike in demonic activity. We’re seeing it all around us. People are getting more and more violent, hostile, lawless, and immoral, and the truth is – much of this is demonically inspired. We’re being pushed to a place where if we don’t press in for the supernatural power of God, we’re going to be irrelevant. A much-needed message in the Church today.

  • The Power of Pentecost by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-05-30

The Power of Pentecost by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-05-30

    02/06/2020 Duração: 28min

In many churches today, we preach the Father, the Son and the Holy Scriptures and that is just not right. It is not the full Gospel. Scripture tells us that the letter kills, but it is the Spirit who gives life. We need both the Word and the Spirit. I don’t want to be in a church that restricts what the Holy Spirit can or cannot do. And as long as I’m the pastor of this church, we will never relegate the Holy Ghost to some little corner in the church and when we need Him, we will call Him. No sir. He will always be in the forefront of what we do. On this Pentecost Weekend, let us honour the 3rd Person of the Godhead – The Blessed Holy Spirit!

  • Spiritual House Cleaning by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-05-23

Spiritual House Cleaning by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-05-23

    23/05/2020 Duração: 39min

The question we're often confronted with is, "How do we become a powerful church? How can our church become a city set on a hill?" I think the answer to that is in our consecration. We've got to get rid of all those accursed things in our minds, in our hearts, in our lives and in our homes. We've got to sanctify ourselves. What's draining the power of God in our lives? Compromise. Worldliness. Sin. Carnality. Is it any wonder why the Church is so powerless today when we spend more time on Netflix or YouTube than we do in prayer? A powerful message that will bring about a much-needed alignment.

  • Lying Spirits by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-05-16

Lying Spirits by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-05-16

    19/05/2020 Duração: 38min

One of the most malignant influence in the Church today is something called the lying spirit. It has caused untold damage to the Body of Christ, and destroyed marriages. It has split churches, separated the best of friends, and even destroyed mighty nations and caused many saints to turn away from God. It’s time for the Church to know the truth about these spirits in order that we might expose them and press onward to victory.

A mother’s work is never done, they say, and it isn’t about some mundane task, though that's an absolute necessity to the efficient running of a household. It’s definitely not a hopeless case of resignation, with frustration, despair and tiredness, because she always values relationships. What’s the upside to motherhood? Mothering is a heavenly call and a mother is known for her nurturing role, creating influence and memories for the family in every way – spiritual, moral, social, emotional, and physical beings. We may not be able to choose the circumstance we find ourselves in, but we can choose our attitude.

Roots by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-25

I wonder what comes to your mind when I use the word ‘radical’. Most of us would associate it with some form of extremism. We think of radicalised religious fervour, radical right-wing ideas, or even radicalised social reforms. But that’s not how the word actually pans out. The original meaning of RADICAL is ‘to go back to the root or origin’. It comes from the Latin word ‘Radix’, which simply means ROOT. Being radical is simply a call to return to our roots, our core and to our first works.

  • Simplify by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-18

Simplify by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-18

    21/04/2020 Duração: 31min

The buzzword for us today is ‘Simplify’. We’re called to be pilgrims on this earthly sojourn and to be able to do so, we need to travel light. Are we allowing the dead weight in our lives to hold us down from climbing the Hill of the Lord? This weekend, it’s time to do a spiritual Marie Kondo to unload, declutter and decongest!

  • The Divine Pause by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-11

The Divine Pause by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-11

    11/04/2020 Duração: 32min

The world is in a season of confinement. What we’re experiencing now may be new to us, but throughout the Bible, we see how God pressed the pause button and used it as an instrument to work something eternal in His people. Things may have come to a grinding halt all around us, but take heart – God is still at work!

  • The Blood of the Lamb by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-08

The Blood of the Lamb by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-08

    08/04/2020 Duração: 20min

The primary focus of this Passover will be the BLOOD of JESUS, because nothing comes close to the Blood of the Lamb. It has the power to do one thing, that nothing else can – to wash away our sins. The human heart has a terminal disease and it cannot be enlightened or reformed. It needs to be washed from crippling sin and the only thing strong enough is the Blood of Jesus. There is power in the Blood, no question about that! When we plead the Blood of Jesus, we touch the very core and heart of the Father, because to the Father, the Blood is personal. And there’s nothing more powerful than placing our faith in the Blood of the Lamb.

  • Lessons from the Quarantine Chapter by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-04

Lessons from the Quarantine Chapter by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-04-04

    04/04/2020 Duração: 32min

The whole idea of quarantine actually came from the Bible. When a person was infected with a disease or a plague, they were quarantined and there was a reason for this isolation. Under no circumstances are we to tempt God. A revelatory message that will help you to overcome in this season!

  • Israel’s Great King by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-03-28

Israel’s Great King by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-03-28

    28/03/2020 Duração: 32min

In all of history, there are very few people who have been given the title 'GREAT'. The Greeks had their 'Alexander' and the Persians had their 'Cyrus'. The Anglo Saxons had their 'Alfred', and in more recent times, the Russians had their 'Catherine the Great'. But in all of Israel’s history, there were two kings who were called great. This desire to be great is an inherent and legitimate desire placed by God. All of us have a desire to do something significant in our lives and leave our mark in history. May we end our lives knowing that we've hit the mark that God has for us.

  • The Hidden Kingdom by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-03-21

The Hidden Kingdom by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-03-21

    21/03/2020 Duração: 37min

The 'Kingdom of God' is the most ancient concept given to mankind. In Gen 1:26, we see God giving Adam a kingdom. The word for 'dominion' in Hebrew is the word 'Radah', which means to reign or rule. God was giving Adam the administrative authority over the earth because it was His intent to rule the earth from heaven through the ambassadors He appointed. Journey with me as we unfold this amazing Kingdom.

  • Separate Unto Me by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-03-15

Separate Unto Me by Yang Tuck Yoong - 2020-03-15

    15/03/2020 Duração: 36min

These three words changed the course of world history and launched the Early Church into an offensive that has never abated. A separation is coming to the Church and it’s unavoidable, because something huge is on the horizon and God is now repositioning His chess pieces to go on the offensive. All over the world, people are hearing this clarion call to separate themselves.

  • What Should We Do? by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-03-07

What Should We Do? by Lim Lip Yong - 2020-03-07

    07/03/2020 Duração: 42min

Not everything in the Bible is clear cut. In fact, there are times when the Word of God seems to be giving conflicting instructions. On the one hand, we’re told that we should not let our right hand know what our left hand is giving. Yet, in another part of Scripture, we’re told to let our good works so shine before men that glory may be given to God. How then should we apply Scripture into the daily experiences of our lives? Which Scriptures should we apply into which situation? These are questions that we need to learn to answer.
