The people have been asking the question of when and Malachi answers the question directly. There’s much we can learn from this if we’re willing to listen.

Malachi - Should People Cheat God? - Audio

    23/08/2020 Duração: 56min

Sunday August 23, 2020 - We're continuing in our series on the Book of Malachi. Today we are in Chapter 3 and the message is titled "Should People Cheat God"? This is getting into the "meat" of God's Word and the question that Malachi brings to his people and to us is a very deep question with many facets. We may be asking, like the people did of Malachi: How do we cheat God? That's a great question. Are you ready to hear how God answers? So often people get offended when God answers questions, if only we would understand that God is for us all the time, even when we need to hear a stern answer. It's my prayer that we hear the Word of the Lord and we heed it and then trust God for His help in living it. Join us in this journey. Be blessed...

Malachi - Prepare to be Refined - Audio

    16/08/2020 Duração: 43min

This is Sunday August 16, 2020 mornings message continuing the study on Malachi titled: "Prepare to be Refined". In this message we discuss the refining process that God will do on each person as they give their hearts to Jesus. This is a lifelong process that is hard and sometimes very difficult, yet in the end it produces a perfected person in the image of Christ. It's very important for us to realize that our "day one" of salvation is just the beginning, after that comes the process of living for Jesus and daily dying to ourselves and our sin, and that's the refining process. I pray this message is clearly understandable. Please feel free to contact me if you have comments or questions. Time is running out, now is the day of your salvation. Be challenged, encouraged and blessed...

  • Malachi - Gods Calling to Faithfulness - Audio

Malachi - God's Calling to Faithfulness - Audio

    03/08/2020 Duração: 44min

Continuing on in our series on the book of Malachi, pastor Mike titles the message today - "God's Calling to Faithfulness". What we uncover today is the importance of being faithful in our calling to be true followers of Jesus. Malachi explains to the people that God's covenant established with the priestly order of the Levites was being ignored by them and hence a curse rather than a blessing was on placed on the people. That's how serious being faithful is to God. God cannot break the covenant that He established with men, yet men can walk away from it simply because they are unfaithful. The call to action today is faithfully choose to walk in obedience to God's Word and trust God to be faithful to us. That requires a solid commitment from us that results in blessings from God...

What's the Worst that can Happen? - Audio

    26/07/2020 Duração: 50min

Family Life Pastor - Tyler Branigan brings and encouraging word today that he titles - "What's the Worst that can Happen?". In this message Pastor Tyler encourages us all that no matter what is happening in our lives and in this crazy world that we're living in, God is still in control. He has a plan for each one of us and as we seek Him first and foremost, He will be faithful in meeting our needs. The problem most people face is that they don't keep their eyes focused on Christ, but more on the problems in life. We're encouraged to be like Peter walking on the water, as he focused on Jesus, he was on top of the waves, but the moment he saw the waves, he sunk only to have Jesus lift him up. Be encouraged today and keep your eyes on Jesus and let Him be the source of your strength.

  • Malachi - Giving our Best - Audio

Malachi - Giving our Best - Audio

    19/07/2020 Duração: 36min

Continuing our study on the Book of Malachi we talk today about "Giving our Best" to God. The people of Malachi's day were guilty of giving their second best to God in the form of sickly and crippled animals for their yearly sacrifices. They all knew better, but it was too hard to give God their best so they thought that God would accept their second best and still hear their prayers and give them His best. Applying this message to our day, are we any different? How many times have we offered our "seconds" and our "leftovers" to God thinking that He's pleased with us? Malachi deals with this misconception straight away, and it's wise of us to learn from him... Listen in and be challenged and encouraged when we realize how much God loves us...

  • Malachi - Honor Respect - Audio

    Malachi - Honor & Respect - Audio

    12/07/2020 Duração: 50min

We are continuing our study on the prophet Malachi and were dealing with honoring and respecting God and everything He is. The people of Malachi's day were preoccupied with many distractions of life and they found themselves giving God the "leftovers" of life in every way. Yet, they thought they were doing everything right and were still deserving of receiving the best from God. Malachi spoke truth, and of course truth can be uncomfortable. The Western perspective of being a Christian is very similar and thus there is much we can learn as we study this book. So journey with us today as we dig into the scripture and understand the message of Malachi in regard to honoring and respecting God...

Study on Malachi - God Loves You - Audio

    05/07/2020 Duração: 52min

We are moving from the introduction of the book of Malachi into the first part of the study. Malachi begins his rather upsetting conversation with the people of his day by reminding them that God has always loved them. They retort aggressively with him by asking "how has God loved us?". This begins the back and forth dialog with the people that characterize this entire book. Malachi goes directly to the Word of God to give them his answer. He doesn't mix God's Word with his feelings and emotions. This is great advice for us when we're doubting God's love for us as well. The whole theme of the Old and New testaments is God's love. There's so much to discuss, so I hope I can do justice in helping us understand how God loves and how we should love God back...

    Introduction to Malachi - Audio

    28/06/2020 Duração: 49min

Today we are beginning a study on the last book of the Old Testament - Malachi. To have a proper place to begin this study on this very important yet short book of the Bible we need to have an understanding of the context of the day. So today's message is to set the stage, so to speak, of the conditions of the people that Malachi was speaking to. I believe that as we go through this study we will see how relevant it is to our lives today. Recognize this is the last time God spoke to his Jewish people for a period of 400 years, so it's easy to think that God has something pretty important say. Listen in and let's study together...

  • Fathers Day - How God Sees You - Audio

Father's Day - How God Sees You - Audio

    21/06/2020 Duração: 52min

Guest speaker, Pastor Leland Hart brings a very encouraging word for us titled - "How God Sees You". In this message he reminds us how much God as a loving father loves his children and how much he desires a relationship with them. God loves all people, but until a person knows how to love God back, God's love is limited. How do we love God back? By accepting the forgiveness that Jesus provides and living a life of obedience to God's Word is the only way we can love God as God loves us. That's the relationship that takes the limits off of God's love for you and me so that we can then be adopted into the "Family of God". At that point, God becomes our Heavenly Father and we become His children. Listen in and be encouraged as Pastor Leland brings us the word...

Holy Spirit - Fruit of Love - Audio

    14/06/2020 Duração: 53min

This message "Fruit of Love" is the last of the series on the Fruit of the Spirit. Even though Love is mentioned as the first fruit, I'm speaking on it lastly because not only is it the beginning point of our relationship with Jesus, it is also the anchor point. Love holds all the Fruit together as a cluster of grapes grow and live together. If we could love and accept love as God does, we would be better people. Understatement of the year, I know, but it's the honest truth of the matter. We do good and we don't do harm to those that we truly LOVE. That's why the world is so crazily messed up, the LOVE of God is missing. Listen in, be challenged and encouraged to love better...

  • Holy Spirit - Fruit of Self-Control - Audio

Holy Spirit - Fruit of Self-Control - Audio

    07/06/2020 Duração: 53min

We're getting to the end of our study on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Today we are speaking on the "Fruit of Self-Control". This is a message that is timely to the situation that we find our country in. So much unrest and social issues primarily because people are not exercising Self-Control. However, as we have discovered in all of our study on the Fruit of the Spirit, this requires a "supernatural" work of the Holy Spirit. So a person, striving to exercise these fruit on their own is living a frustrating life of repeated failures. Listen in and be challenged and encouraged to invite the power of the Hoy Spirit into you life and give Him control so that you can begin to experience self-control of the Spirit...

  • Holy Spirit - Pentecost Sunday - Audio

Holy Spirit - Pentecost Sunday - Audio

    31/05/2020 Duração: 50min

The reason we've been speaking about the person of the Holy Spirit for so many weeks is to build up to Pentecost Sunday. This is the day that the Holy Spirit was poured out on the disciples and close followers of Jesus in that upper room. They were waiting for the "gift" of the Holy Spirit that Jesus told them about on a few different occasions. Most recently, Jesus instructed them ten days prior just before Jesus ascended into the clouds. So here they are, waiting for something to happen that they had no idea what it would be, but they were obedient. This is the beginning of the first day of the "Church" and it changed their lives as well as the course of history. What's important for us today is that this same Holy Spirit is desiring to give us the same experience and the same power in our lives. Listen in and here more about the amazing gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is ready to Baptize all that would receive, so invite Him in...

  • Hoy Spirit - Fruit of Gentleness - Audio

Hoy Spirit - Fruit of Gentleness - Audio

    24/05/2020 Duração: 52min

Staying in our series "Understanding the Holy Spirit" we are talking about the Fruit of the Spirit today, namely the Fruit of Gentleness. What I have found so interesting is that I thought the Fruit of Kindness, Goodness and Gentleness would be the quickest and easiest ones to speak about, in fact I considered lumping them all into one sermon. But I'm so glad that I didn't. If God felt them necessary to list individually, then He must have good reason, and that He did. There is so much meat in these Fruit that I encourage you to listen intently, read the scriptures and ask God to supernaturally grow the fruit of Gentleness, among the others, in your life. As you do, your relationship with God and others will deepen and grow rich...

Holy Spirit - Fruit of Faithfulness - Audio

    17/05/2020 Duração: 30min

Pastor MIke is continuing in the series of the Holy Spirit with a study today on the Fruit of Faithfulness. God is faithful above all things in life. There is nothing more than we can count on than the faithfulness of God. As God created us in His perfect image, He is intending for us to follow in His example of Faithfulness. In fact, the act of being faithful is one of the most important characteristics we share with God. Being faithful to God and to others is the key to life. One's faithfulness either inspires another or one's un-faithfulness greatly disappoints another. Listen in today to be both encouraged by God faithfulness and to be challenged in yours...

The Church and It's Mission - Audio

    03/05/2020 Duração: 26min

Pastor Tyler, Family LIfe Pastor at CPA talks to us about the Mission of the Church and how the Church is to impact the community we live in. In this time of Covid-19, the youth of our church welcome us and tell us why they miss meeting together as a "church body". Pastor Tyler encourages us with a good word about how we are to reach out and "be the arms and feet of Jesus" as the church and when we are, we will be pleasing to the Lord and effective in meeting the needs of our community and world. Let's do our part and be the Church...

  • Holy Spirit - Goodness in All Things - Audio

Holy Spirit - Goodness in All Things - Audio

    26/04/2020 Duração: 37min

As we go back into our series on the Fruit of Spirit we talk about the Fruit of Goodness. Mankind understands goodness in relation to what we think good is by a comparison model. In other words, we compare things according to our likes and dislikes and than determine if it's good or bad. The Fruit of the Spirit called Goodness, is the standard of God's Goodness or His Holiness by which all things are considered Good. That's why as a follower of Jesus and His teachings, we must seek the Holy Spirit's help in growing the fruit of God's Goodness in our lives so that we don't fall trap to the enemies deceitful way of using a comparison model of just being "good enough" thinking that if we try really hard, we can earn God's favor and our entrance into Heaven by our own good measures. That's why "good people" can miss Heaven, as it's not by our own merits we are saved, but by the Goodness and the Mercy and the Grace of God that we are saved thru the blood of Jesus... Listen in and be challenged and encouraged

Peace - Where Does It Come From? - Audio

    19/04/2020 Duração: 43min

In this time of so much fear and unrest from this Covid-19 virus - having Peace is something everyone is seeking. What we find today is the peace the world offers is not lasting. Many say they have peace, but it's a worldly peace because their life isn't in disarray - they have money in the bank, their job is secure, they're healthy, etc. But take that away and if they don't have a true relationship with Jesus the giver of lasting Peace, their worldly peace quickly fades away. Sin is the breaker of God's Peace. If there's sin - then there's no lasting peace. Peace is directly related to relationship with Jesus. So where does God's Peace come from? I think many will surprised to know that God's Peace is a result of God's Love as it's proven thru God's anger and His discipline of those He loves. You're going to have to listen to the message to fully understand what this means. God Loves you, yet He's angry if sin has you in bondage and He will discipline you to maintain a healthy relationship.... T

Easter - It Is Finished - Audio

    12/04/2020 Duração: 50min

Easter - What a special Christian Holiday! It is the End Point or the Finishing Point of Christmas. These are the two Bench Marks of the Christian Faith. Palm Sunday - Perception and Reality - Audio

    05/04/2020 Duração: 41min

Palm Sunday - is it the beginning of the end of Jesus's ministry or is it just the beginning? Well, it all depends on one's perception of who Jesus was and what His purpose for living was all about. Perception - what an important concept in our life. The old saying goes; "Perception is Reality". How true that is for most if not all people. Today's message speaks to the difference between man's perception and reality and God's perception and reality. The point of the message is this - If our perception and reality don't match up with that of God's - than we are on a path of great disappointment and eternal destruction. Through our accepting God's reality we are choosing eternal life in Heaven and by our living in our perceptions of what we want God's reality to be - we are choosing eternal punishment in Hell. It's that straightforward - the choice is ours. Where are you on the Perception - Reality Scale? LIsten in to find out how you can know for sure...
