    19/10/2020 Duração: 43min

Bad guys always find ways to exploit internet users. Matt is the good guy who stops them. When mobile communications started out, Matt Gillis spent lots of hours on the golf course showing businessmen what a cell phone could do. Then he was the guy at Verizon that game publishers went to to get their games approved, then started his own game company, then helped mobile app developers make money from ads. Now he runs Clean.io, a cybersecurity company that protects developers against malicious ads. The creators of those ads, Matt says, are “some of the most sophisticated media buyers on the planet.” They ruin the user experience. And some of those users might be yours. So it’s good to have Matt on your side. ______ Rise Grind Repeat Podcast powered by EIC Agency ______ Hosted by Dustin Trout Produced by Andrei Gardiola __________ Check out the full video episode at: https://bit.ly/3dlwjnJ https://spoti.fi/2Mgfpe6 https://apple.co/2MiQdUv For more information visit our website at https://eic.agency/ We are also

071 - Dallas Andrews of Exposed Media

    12/10/2020 Duração: 01h02min

Forget “Location, location, location.” Now it’s “Relation, relation, relation.” Being a realtor is hard; trying to get to know someone in a short amount of time and convince them to trust you in helping them make one of the most expensive purchases of their life. Dallas Andrews learned some lessons from that, applied them as he created video content for his agency, and now he has a second career: helping other realtors produce effective video content for social media. Dallas says effective content for any business, like success in real estate, is about building trust: convincing the customer they can depend on you for what they need to hear, and that you’ll help make them smarter so they can make educated decisions. ______ Rise Grind Repeat Podcast powered by EIC Agency ______ Hosted by Dustin Trout Produced by Andrei Gardiola __________ Check out the full video episode at: https://bit.ly/3dlwjnJ https://spoti.fi/2Mgfpe6 https://apple.co/2MiQdUv For more information visit our website at https://eic.agency/ We

    05/10/2020 Duração: 51min

Everyone knows a podcast can be a valuable part of your digital marketing strategy. But it can be much more; it can actually help define your business — and not just for listeners, but for you. Justin Brown started in tech sales, then the entrepreneur bug bit and he built a video production company. He says the podcast he started to promote his business gave him “a way to get my own voice. I started interviewing heads of marketing and people whose voices already mattered, and it gave my voice power. People cared about what I had to say.” Justin pivoted his company, Motion, to be a full-service podcast provider. 069 - Sarah Hoag of Hoag Photography

    28/09/2020 Duração: 55min

There’s a lot of talk about storytelling in digital marketing, but that doesn’t necessarily mean copy. Sarah Hoag tells stories through images. For businesses, she says pictures can even be better than words for demonstrating what you do in an engaging way and telling a story about you and the experience of working with you. She says, “It’s about creating an emotional connection that can make clients fall in love with your brand.” So it’s probably natural that she also specializes in images that show the emotional connections within families. Sarah is a deep thinker, not just about the power of images, but about branding and client relationships. ______ Rise Grind Repeat Podcast powered by EIC Agency ______ Hosted by Dustin Trout Produced by Andrei Gardiola __________ Check out the full video episode at: https://bit.ly/3dlwjnJ https://spoti.fi/2Mgfpe6 https://apple.co/2MiQdUv For more information visit our website at https://eic.agency/ We are also on Instagram @EveryImpressionCounts

068 - David Wachs of Handwrytten

    21/09/2020 Duração: 56min

You’d think the No. 1 rule for branding is, “Don’t name your company for something it doesn’t offer.” But David Wachs bet his potential customers weren’t looking for actual handwritten notes, invitations and thank-yous; just the look and the ambience — something that says “I care enough about our relationship to pay extra attention to this.” David created Handwrytten, which uses robots holding actual pens to automate handwritten notes at scale. Was it a good bet? 300% annual growth says yes. And what does David have to teach you? Handwrytten wasn’t his first venture, but he learned a lot about addressing customer needs along the way.

066 - Quinlan Wilhite of Qmulative

    10/09/2020 Duração: 46min

When Quinlan Wilhite started Qmulative, his brand was … himself. Then it took off.  | RGR 065 Quinlan started Qmulative in 2009 as an online feed about his interests: skateboarding, cars, hip-hop, street art. A few years later his grandmother taught him to sew. He took classes to get better, went full time in 2016, showed his work at Tucson Fashion Week, and in 2018 was named Lifestyle Designer of the Year at Phoenix Fashion Week. Now Qmulative is a cut-and-sew street wear brand, but it’s still all about Quinlan and his unique view on fashion. His biggest boost came from linking his very modern brand to another that’s more than a century old: His Arizona-inspired T’s, a combo of Quinlan and the 48th state, are a huge hit. ______ Rise Grind Repeat Podcast powered by EIC Agency ______ Hosted by Dustin Trout Produced by Andrei Gardiola __________ Check out the full video episode at: https://bit.ly/3dlwjnJ https://spoti.fi/2Mgfpe6 https://apple.co/2MiQdUv For more information visit our website at https://eic

News flash: Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce closed its doors 50 years ago | RGR 065 Dan Englander took a while finding his marketing niche. He started with an agency, then did sales for an animation studio. He finally settled on lead generation as his business because he noticed, even from his agency days, a lot of agencies need help. Dan created Sales Schema to help those agencies solve a big problem. “They’ve reached a point where referrals and personal networks and the stuff that it took to build the agency just aren’t enough anymore,” he says. “The Mad Men era is over. 064 - Ken Moskowitz of Ad Zombies

    16/08/2020 Duração: 01h06min

Zombies are a good business model. How? They’re tough. They don’t quit. And most importantly for veteran copywriter Ken Moskowitz, they’re not dead. Ken had a reputation for taking ad copy that didn’t work and turning it into winning words. So when he started his copywriting company, he named it for his trademark skill: bringing ad copy back to life. And, like their namesake, they spread. Ad Zombies has worked for 3,000 agencies and 10,000 SMB’s around the globe, providing copy with interesting angles most agencies never think of, and providing it fast. (OK, zombies aren’t fast, but these are. And really, really good.)

Mike built a business out of community pride, and instantly had lots of customers. | Rise Grind Repeat 062 Some entrepreneurs start in a business they’re passionate about. Mike Spangenberg started a business around his passion. Growing up in Arizona, he noticed there wasn’t anything representing his home state in a positive light. So in 2013 he and a partner started State Forty Eight, an apparel company that’s all about Arizona. Know what kind of difference it can make to build a community around your business? Mike went from one-man band to team leader, and learned how to do it right. | RGR 060 Mike D’Elena has been working for himself for 15 years, first with a custom apparel company, then in real estate, with some overlap between. He’s used to a sales cycle, and he’s used to hustling — “... because if you don’t, you don’t make money.” In the last few years, as branch manager for a realty company, he’s hired six staff members to specialize in areas that free up some of his time. But that’s taught him another valuable lesson: “If you work less but don’t do anything with the time that opens up, it’s pointless.” Mike credits a business coach with helping him track and optimize his time, and he’s willing to share what he’s learned with you.   ______   Rise Grind Repeat Podcast  powered by EIC Agency  ______   Hosted by Dustin Trout  Produced by Andrei Gardiola  __________   Check out the full video episode at:   https://bit.ly/3dlwjnJ  https://spoti.fi/2Mgfpe6  h

What does an aspiring entrepreneur in a town of 2,000 learn? The importance of new customers! Jared Gobler’s high school had 200 students. It also had a class in entrepreneurship. He used what he learned there as part-owner of a paintball company, handling administration and accounts and getting comfortable with the business side of entrepreneurship. When he started his own moving company, he says his focus was always “finding my next customer. That was my number 1 goal. All of that work was useless if I wasn’t finding a new customer to serve every time.” It worked then, and still does. Today, Jared is CEO of FG Marketing, a full-service digital marketing shop whose clients include high-dollar investment services, a luxury yacht builder, and a firm that researches exotic energy and aerospace solutions. They all have two things in common: They all want to find new customers, and they all trust Jared to help them do it.   Jared Gobler CEO of FG Marketing Co  ______   Rise Grind Repeat Podcas
