    April IV

    06/06/2020 Duração: 16min

The Fourth Year and the poems are transformed. April comes back and greets me at the dirty window and I still recognize her. I pick up trash for the city and hear her whisper. As we stay inside old spirits and spooks come out to converse with the dark side of the mind. Of course the flowers grow, April told me they would, and shes the last one I believe. Enjoy.

  • EP. 12: Geoffrey DeBree

    EP. 12: Geoffrey DeBree

    07/11/2019 Duração: 01h15min

Geoffrey is a musician who starts singing by the fire at a party and everybody starts listening. His songs are sincere reflections of modern life, with all it's messy emotions and isolation. A longing for a better world, that is never quite here, though we can imagine it clearly. His talent and humility are truly humbling. I'm thankful he shared. -Alex Intro beats by @seasonaltemps

“Timothy is one of my oldest friends in the city and certainly one of the best guitar players that live in it. We’ve known each other since we were Blackbears in Orono, yet he still surprises me with his knowledge and wit. EP. 08: Conner Casey

    16/03/2018 Duração: 38min

Dear Back Bay, I want you to love Conner Casey as much I do. I think it's possible now too. He plays through his original song, switching between piano and guitar. We are old friends happy to see each other again. We talk about his old bands, travels abroad, and about how life, as Conner puts it, has been just as confusing as when he was 13 years old. -Alex Beats by Seasonal Temps: https://soundcloud.com/seasonaltemps

  • EP. 07: Caleb and Brett

    EP. 07: Caleb and Brett

    16/03/2018 Duração: 51min

Artists are all around us. Live music is always taking place. Notes are resonating out to the street while we walk to work. I heard Caleb playing guitar before I met him. I was sitting at the table when classical guitar descended from the floor above me. I thought it was a recording but soon realized it was an unknown force. One day returning with groceries I got lucky. I saw him locking up his bike with a guitar on his back and I just hoped it was him. Within a week we were recording. He brings along a flutist named Bret, and yes, they play a saw during one of the songs. This one is special. EP. 04: Back Bay Open Mic

    03/08/2017 Duração: 01h12min

Poetry exists. Welcome back. We’ve been gone for awhile. Sometimes old lines take months to realize themselves, and even then, some rhymes come off opaque. I got together some amazing people and forced poems out of them. I also read a lot of my own creations. I hope this encourages others to write more and share with their peers. Writing is a necessary emotional action. We need to approach it earnestly.
